You will be assigned a wedding coordinator and have a planning meeting around four to six months prior to your wedding date. This is where we will start to work through your wedding schedule, discussing timings, food and drink options and all the finer details. Our wedding team are on hand to help with any questions and planning in the meantime!

 

For our one day weddings, our recommended ceremony time is 2pm. For three day weddings, we recommend 1pm, but this can be changed. Guests may arrive one hour prior to the ceremony time. To book your ceremony, you will need to contact Northumberland Registrars to arrange your legal ceremony.

 

We can hold our one day weddings Mondays, Tuesdays or Sundays. Our three day weddings are held on Thursdays (arrival Wednesday and departure Friday) and Saturdays (arrival Friday and departure Sunday).

 

Yes, we can provisionally hold a date for seven days. This is free to do and means you don’t risk losing the date! You will then pay your non-refundable deposit of £1,500 to secure the date.

We can seat up to 160 day guests in The Threshing Hall for your ceremony and The Great Barn for your wedding breakfast. For your evening reception, The Great Barn can host up to 250 guests.

 

We do allow fireworks onsite, however we do ask that they are finished by 10pm and must be low noise. There is a £100 admin fee.

 

 

This can be discussed and agreed with your wedding co-ordinator.

 

We do allow confetti outside, this must be real petals.

Accommodation
And Guests

Everything your guests need to know. From on-site accommodation and who can stay, to the practical details that make the experience easy and enjoyable for everyone attending.

 

Our main accommodation sleeps 43 guests across eight cottages. We also have two glamping pods, and two extra cottages located behind the venue. In total 53 can stay onsite.

Our one day weddings have access to the accommodation for the night of the wedding from 3pm. Our three day weddings have access to the accommodation from 3pm the night prior to the wedding.

 

Yes! We have The Coop available to book for the night prior to your wedding, which sleeps eight guests and designed perfectly for getting ready before your ceremony. With our three day weddings, you would also have access to all our cottages the night before and night of your wedding.

 

We have a large car park and an overflow car park to accommodate all of your guests. There is no charge for parking.

 

Yes! Doxford Barns and the onsite accommodation is dog friendly. There is a cleaning fee of £30.00 per dog for any dogs staying in the cottages. The Glamping Pods and The Coop are not dog friendly.

 

We have a disabled toilet and wheelchair access via ramps. Please speak to your wedding coordinator for the best access depending on individual needs.

Catering

You will be invited for a complimentary menu tasting around six to nine months prior to your wedding date.

 

No, we don’t allow external catering or corkage, this also includes alcoholic favours. If you are looking for a self-catering wedding, please contact the team directly.

 

Yes we do and there is no charge to cut and serve your cake.

 

You can choose up to three different options per course from our wedding breakfast menu, we do recommend including one vegetarian option.

 

For our one day weddings, your bar will close at 12am with the option to extend to 1am for £250. For three day weddings, the bar will close at 1am with the option to extend to 2am for £250.

 

We have vegan and vegetarian menu as part of our wedding breakfast menu. Our chefs can also cater for all kinds of allergies and make adaptions where required. Please speak directly with the wedding team for more information.

Pricing
And Booking

The practicalities of securing your date. These questions cover deposits, payment plans and how the booking process works from enquiry through to confirmation.

 

Your non-refundable deposit is £1,500 to secure your wedding date.

 

Your wedding will be paid in instalments of nine, six, three and one months prior to the wedding. The final months payment will be amended to reflect any changes. Accommodation payments are due eight weeks prior to the wedding.
