The Threshing Hall is truly the jewel in our crown. Dating back to the 18th century, this traditional stone and oak barn has been lovingly restored to create a striking and romantic space for your ceremony. Connected to The Coop, it allows you to prepare in comfort before stepping out onto the balcony, making your way down the staircase and along the aisle—completely sheltered from the elements, whatever the weather may bring.
At the heart of the venue, The Great Barn offers a warm and inviting space for your wedding breakfast and celebrations. Accommodating up to 160 guests during the day and up to 250 for your evening reception, it provides the ideal setting to dine, toast, and celebrate with your loved ones. With a choice of round or trestle tables and its beautifully rustic wooden interior, The Great Barn is a versatile canvas that can be styled to reflect your vision, complementing any colour scheme effortlessly.

Start the day off right! Whether you fancy pastries & fruit or a full English breakfast to settle those morning nerves, all options are available to be enjoyed with a mimosa!
If utilising The Coop the night before your wedding, relax and get ready in the luxurious spaces. The remainder of your party, who have opted for a multi-night stay, can enjoy an array of beautiful bedrooms to stay and get ready in.
With the Cart Shed bar opening an hour before your ceremony, your guests can arrive a little before your ceremony so they can enjoy a drink in the venue and grounds!

If a glass of fizz isn’t for you, work with our expert team to have your favourite cocktails to complement a delicious platter of canapés. Elegant non-alcoholic drinks and handcrafted mocktails are also available ensuring every guest can enjoy a refreshing and celebratory drink throughout the wedding day.
The Bit Bar, located in the courtyard during your drinks reception, offers a fun and relaxed experience for guests, serving everything from draught beer and classic bar favourites to refreshing slushie cocktails and mocktails.
Whilst your guests enjoy your drinks and canapes selection you can sneak off to get those all important couples photos to treasure forever!
You and your nearest & dearest can enjoy this all important time with spectacular views of the Northumberland countryside. The Great Barn hosting 20-140 guests, is the perfect space to enjoy your meal, speeches and evening reception.
We we offer a wide range of dining options. From elegant three-course meals and relaxed family-style dining, to indulgent tasting menus, evening buffets, and our signature Northumbrian Fare local sharing menu showcasing the very best regional produce. We can tailor our menus to suit your tastes and style to make your culinary dreams come true!

After your wedding breakfast, you and your guests can enjoy an after-dinner cocktail hour. This allows your evening guests the chance to arrive and mingle with you and your guests before all the dancing starts! Personalise a cocktail for your guests to enjoy!
Your photographer will love this time and can use this as an opportunity to take more photos. From golden hour sunsets to sparkler shots, the options are endless!
Now it’s time to head back into The Great Barn to cut that delicious cake and show off your dancing shoes!
Let’s get this party started! The Great Barn is the ultimate party spot, hosting up to 250 guests. For our three day wedding experiences a bar extension until 1.00am is included.
We have a range of recommended suppliers we can put you in touch with to get the party started and keep the dancefloor filled.
Make sure you keep that energy up and have some all important evening food inbetween those dance offs! From relaxed street food stations and smoky BBQs to artisan pizzas, there’s something to suit every celebration style.
We also offer classic evening buffets, hearty pies, burgers, s’mores stations, and late-night snacks to keep your guests satisfied long after the first dance.

A short drive away from Doxford Barns in Father Tom’s truck and you will find The Lake. This is a beautiful opportunity for you to take a moment out after your ceremony to get some stunning photographs and have a chance to be present and soak up the love, just the two of you.
